  1. What is Tap for Tip?
    • Tap for Tip is a cashless offering/tipping system that allows you to tithe or tip, using card or digital payment methods. It’s quick, easy, and secure.
  2. How does Tap for Tip work?
    • Simply select an amount on the device, tap your card, phone or any NFC enabled device, and your offering/tip will be processed instantly.
    • Scan the QR code and insert the amount you’d like to offer/tip.

Payment Questions

  1. Is my card information secure?
    • Yes, Tap for Tip uses AddPay technology that complies with PCI DSS standards to ensure your payment details are encrypted and secure.
  2. What amounts can I offer?
    • You can choose from pre-set amounts (e.g., R5, R10, R20, etc.) or enter a custom amount.
  3. Are there any additional fees for offering?
    • No, you will only be charged the offering amount you select. The service is free for clients.

Service and Operations

  1. What happens if my offering/tip doesn’t go through?
    • If your offering/tip is unsuccessful, you will see an error message on the screen. You can try again or use an alternative offering/tipping method.
  2. Can I get a receipt for my offering/tip?
    • Yes, you can request a receipt, by emailing Receipt@tapfortip.co.za
  3. How is the offering/tips distributed?
    • All offerings/tips are allocated to the designated/registered bank account details
  4. What if I over-offer/tip or made a mistake?
  • Please contact us at Disputes@tapfortip.co.za with your transaction details. We’ll assist with resolving the issue.

 

For Businesses/Partners

  1. How can I sign up to use Tap for Tip at my location?
  • You can contact us at Info@tapfortip.co.za to discuss on boarding and device installation at your location.
  1. What marketing materials are provided for awareness?
  • Outdoor: We provide branded reflectors, flyers, and posters to educate customers about Tap for Tip.
  • Indoor: Flyers, posters and banners
  • Digital marketing: Social media, email marketing, affiliate and influencer marketing.
  1. How do I access reports on offerings collected?
  • Business partners will receive detailed monthly reports on transaction volumes and distributions.
  • Business partners will have access to the pay cloud platform.

Technical Questions

  1. What if the device isn’t working?
  • If the device is not functioning, please contact our support team at Support@tapfortip.co.za. We’ll resolve the issue promptly.
  1. What payment methods are supported?
  • Tap for Tip accepts major credit and debit cards, as well as NFC-enabled payment methods like Apple Pay and Google Pay.
  • Tap for Tip also accepts scanning of QR codes
